| Role Summary/Purpose: | To support HCIT country sales organizations during presales and tender phases, we are looking for an EMEA HCIT Solution Architect who will be in charge of designing complex hardware and software architectures for regional solutions. Will have a particular focus on technical cloud infrastructure, for which SLA, performance, security and availability commitments are key.Its open to an experienced IT individual with strong background in solution architectures,services and data center operations. |
| Essential Responsibilities: | Key Responsibilities - In charge of the design of IT systems for large tenders requiring multiple products and complex HW/SW architectures. Provides to country sales a single interface to all architectural matters. The domain of expertise will later be extended to Healthcare IT workflows, as experience and knowledge are gained from other solution architects and through internal trainings. - Provides costs evaluations for solutions, focusing on cost effectiveness to meet customer expectations and SLAs. - Accountable for the resilience, quality and performance of solutions. - Analyses impact of system load, architecture changes, equipment obsolescence - Evaluate the different potential hosting partners - Assists sales for documenting and presenting solutions to customers and partners - Anticipates and report on technical issues and risks. - Provides technical and risks assessments and consolidate infrastructure costs for internal deal reviews - Provides solution design training/hand-out to delivery teams for implementation - Support delivery teams in first phases of implementation - Remains updated on hardware and software technologies Relational network - Develop close relations with country sales organizations and partners/suppliers - Works with Product matter experts for solution design - Participate to a network of European and regional solution architects to gain and share knowledge - Interfaces to global product management for roadmaps |
| Qualifications/Requirements: | Required Qualifications: - Master equivalent in engineering or computer sciences - 8-10 years’ experience in the IT industry and System Integration - Deep experience in designing complex IT architectures: VMware Cluster, DR and metroclusters, SAN/NAS storage, servers, Oracle and MS SQL Server databases, Windows and Linux operating systems, networks (firewalls and load balancers) - Deep knowledge in security challenges and technologies for cloud and hosted environments - Good understanding of Service Level Agreements concepts and their impacts on architecture and organisation - Knowledge of Cloud/SaaS economic models - Experience in large project and/or service bids - Desired: background in Healthcare IT technologies, either Imaging (PACS, RIS,..) or clinical systems (EMR,EHR,..) and standards (IHE profiles, DICOM, HL 7..) - Fluent in English, both verbally as in writing; other language skills are of great asset. |
