Role Summary/Purpose: This key position for a Senior Solutions Engineer is to contribute to solutions design & building efforts across GEHC Software teams. In particular, this person will focus on next generation health cloud applications. Responsible to serve as a workflow solutions expert by working closely with various engineering, cross functional teams to design and build Solutions environments leveraging expertise in Product, Technology, Infrastructure and Customer understanding.
Essential Responsibilities: . Leads the effort in designing solutions for the enterprise imaging care area that integrates multiple GE and 3rd party products within that care area. These solutions would typically simulate large scale enterprise customer environments.
. Strategic initiatives in designing the infrastructure needed to build care area solutions for Enterprise imaging in the workflow solutions center (WSC).
. Works with cross-functional agile teams for building of Solution environments in the workflow solutions center based on Customer deployments
. Interface with cross functional teams within enterprise imaging such as Product engineering, field services, customer support, product management and IT to profile Customer usage patterns
. Supports data, workflow and PSRA testing to ensure connectivity and dataflow between products part of the Solution
. Perform hands-on troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrade and backup of solution test environments, if necessary.
. Create and Maintain technical documentation for workflows and performance.
. Identify and report any quality gaps during solutions testing.
. Support product teams in solutions testing during development cycles
. Investigate and innovate with new methodologies for automation of solution deployment, installation and maintenance
. Governance and imparting of technical knowledge towards solutions building
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 7+ years' experience in IT industry and 4 + years directly working with customer base.

- BS / BE degree in Computer Science / Electrical / Electronics

- Strong working knowledge of one of the following domains – Radiology / Enterprise Imaging, EMR or departmentals.

- Strong working knowledge about infrastructure management including on-premise and cloud components

- Experience with HCIT products such as PACS, RIS, Archive, Diagnostic, Clinical Viewers, EMRs,

- Patient portals, Revenue cycle management or Care management.

- Strong working knowledge in VMWare based environments and tools

- Strong knowledge on deployment and infrastructure considerations such as distributed environments, network configurations, Compute and storage concepts

- Experience with automation of installation processes using scripting tools such as Python, CHEF etc

- Working knowledge of multi-tier architectures - Data-tier : Relational & NOSQL DBs, Middle Tier : Application server, Webserver and Presentation layer : Ajax, HTML5, Thick-Client

- Experience in a regulated environment, e.g. FDA

- Strong problem solving skills - ability to analyze, implement and trouble-shoot solution deployments

- Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills. A big part of this job is communicating effectively with cross functional teams in a global environment

- Experience in development / testing process in Agile environment

- 10+ years’ IT industry experience and 5+ years directly working with customer base.
- Experience with Inpatient, Outpatient and Departmental clinical workflows
- Experience as a Field engineer working on implementation and trouble-shooting at customer locations
- Knowledge on IHE profiles - SWF, PCD
- Experience in Cloud based deployments
- Exposure to performance, reliability testing
- Good exposure to Software processes (SDLC) and Source Control tools (Perforce)
- Exposure to Agile principles and / or SAFE.
