Role Summary/Purpose: The Centricity EDI Lead Systems Engineer is primarily responsible for management of systems and storage in support of the EDI Clearinghouse datacenter. They will work closely with Network Engineers, Database Administrators, Application Developers, Tech Support, and Management to support hosted systems in multiple data centers. Thorough understanding of the Centricity EDI production environment will be essential.
Essential Responsibilities:
- System, application and storage support for Centricity EDI Revenue Cycle Management applications.

- Perform periodic analysis and regular monitoring of system environments.

- Recommend and make improvements to the EDI infrastructure.

- Provide seamless support and service continuity to our customers.

- Focus on the technical needs of both internal GE customers and external functional customers, as assigned, maintaining the highest standards regarding system design and implementation

- Working in cross-functional project teams that include Development, Quality Assurance, and Application Support.

- Communicate directly with team members/end users to diagnose and resolve issues.

- Coordinate and perform hardware/software installations, upgrades, and patches.

- Work with other team members to continually improve our delivery and processes.

- Actively participate on project team meetings to achieve team goals.

- Ensure compliance with business policies, processes and industry standard best practices with regard to Server security, high availability, and auditing.

- Create and maintain documentation of system team procedures, policies, and system configurations.

- Adherence to internal and external production SLAs.

- Limited travel may be required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or at least 5 years of work experience in server and/or storage administration.

- A minimum of 3 years of experience with server administration and systems management.

- Demonstrated ability to provide production level support to enterprise class mission critical, highly available server and application infrastructure

- Ability to successfully communicate complex technical concepts to all levels of customers organization

- Ability to work within a diverse, technically oriented, team setting is a must.

- Willingness to participate in team on-call rotation, and perform off hours work as needed.

- Strong technical and project/process skills are required.

- Background in server security policy creation / enforcement / remediation.

- Experience with Vmware with Linux and/or Windows VMs.

- The ability to quickly absorb new changes in computer technologies is necessary.

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

- Organized and detail oriented.

- Ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks as well as attention to details is necessary.

- Excellent communication skills.

- You must be willing to take a drug test

Desired Characteristics:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical area (preferable in CS or EE)
- Knowledge of Healthcare information security best practices including HIPPA, HITRUST and EHNAC.
- Knowledge of healthcare industry systems and applications is a plus.
- Experience with any of the following technologies is strongly desired: o Vmware ESX
5.5+, vCenter o Windows 2008/2012, WSUS o Netapp cDOT, VSC, onCommand/PM/Insights o Red Hat6/7, OEL6/7, Satellite Server o HP OneView o HP Blade, Blade Enclosures and Virtual Connect. o NFS/Samba/Cifs o Splunk
- Software product development lifecycle experience.
- Cloud Technologies
- Lean/Six Sigma experience
- Knowledge of Agile process
- Knowledge of DevOps and Secure in Deploy, such as puppet and karaf;
- Vendor and industry certifications in any of the technologies mentioned herein are a definite plus.
- Shell scripting is desired.
- Familiarity with Netapp and other storage technologies.
- Familiarity with Talend suite.
