Role Summary/Purpose: Job Overview:
This is a key position in a globally distributed Enterprise Imaging Solutions Engineering Organization. This is a unique opportunity, within a growing organization, developing products that redefine the standards of healthcare throughout the world. The person holding this position will serve as a Senior Systems test engineer within the solutions group of the Enterprise imaging solutions organization.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the test procedure to cover all the user pathways and data flow pathways in the end to end solutions setup.
  • Plan and execute end to end solution tests (functional and NFR).
  • Interface with Solutions engineering, Product architects, QSE and contractors to ensure adequate test coverage.
  • Stay current on the product feature advances, issues from the field and keep updating the solutions test suite.
  • Able to maintain the test environment and assumes a lead role in resolve testing problems.
  • Co-ordinate and develop test procedures and methods for new products. Drive automation efficiencies, as need be.
  • Be able to communicate well both in technical and business/customer impact terms.
  • Experienced with Relational Databases
  • Strong testing/design principles, test methodologies knowledge.
  • Assignments early in the product development cycle in order to create test infrastructures for new protocols/interfaces, common platforms, and interoperability of products
  • Work closely on cross-functional teams – Engineering and Architecture on design requirements and ensuring testing hooks
  • Creation of test tools and test harnesses requiring in-house development or extensions
  • Ensuring testing process is adhered to
  • Test case execution; ability to analyze test results
  • Ensuring proper documentation of all results and ability to provide detailed reports for failure cases
  • Strong interpersonal skillset, including good written and verbal technical communication skills

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Good working knowledge in EI products
  • Working knowledge of Relational Databases like Oracle or SQL Server.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • A minimum of 7 years of work experience
  • Sound software testing methodology/processes and understanding of software development life cycle and object oriented methodologies
  • Experience with agile development
  • Technical skills in both development and test
  • Experience with test automation tools such as Coded UI or QTP, Load Runner, TestCover, MicroFocus, Coverity, Bulls Eye, or equivalent
  • Experience with system level testing
  • Experience Installing and configuring software, testing environments – both physical and virtual.
  • Knowledgeable in TCP/IP, DHCP, SSL, HTTP/HTTPS, XML, Linux, Oracle RDBMS, Microsoft SQL Server
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Current knowledge of software testing best practices
  • Experience with tools such as HP Quality Center or Microsoft Test Manager and TFS
  • Self motivated and team player
