Role Summary/Purpose: | This is a key role in the Ambulatory Practice Solutions team responsible for providing strategic direction and execution around the development of medical terminologies, data modeling, and clinical content within the Centricity Electronic Health Record and Practice Management portfolio. You will work across the current products as well as lead our informatics efforts aimed at the future. |
Essential Responsibilities: | Your job responsibilities will include:
Contribute to and execute a strategy for using clinical terminologies in advanced healthcare IT systems, including how medical terminologies support knowledge management Collaborate closely with clinical content and terminology partnerships Provide guidance and leadership to engineering, product analysts, product managers, and informatics team members working on the terminology and information modeling Plan and execute on informatics needs related to use of clinical terminology services, mapping of terms, user choices for selection of appropriate clinical terms and observations, and other medical informatics needs within the EHR portfolio Support customer focus by engaging with customers, presenting and collecting feedback as required and ensuring the “voice of the customer” is reflected in long term product roadmaps, requirements, and business plans Coordinate requirements across a multi-functional organization, including marketing, sales, operations, engineering, and services teams, while ensuring compliance with quality systems and regulatory requirements Understand and recommend tradeoffs between internal development and business partnership activities with strategic partners, including coordination of partner work deliverables, partner support maintenance, and product changes required for strategic partners Collaborate with marketing and product management teams to ensure market opportunities and needs are reflected in product plans and requirements; responsible for strategy and execution of product roadmaps and new product introductions Collaborate with professional services teams to ensure serviceability and supportability of ongoing clinical product functionality Understand and communicate competitive positions for comparable product offerings Drive operating mechanisms to ensure behavior consistent with integrity, quality systems, and Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements |
Qualifications/Requirements: | Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Minimum 4 years of experience working with Healthcare IT applications (e.g. EMR, Population Health, Clinical Decision Support, Rules engines Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Informatics and Medical Terminologies in the United States Eligibility Requirements: Must be willing to work from an office located in Seattle, WA |

Desired Characteristics: | Master's degree in Healthcare
MD/ RN / Medical Informaticist / Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner with strong knowledge of ambulatory practice clinical workflows, clinical processes and an understanding of ambulatory clinical operations and quality management.
Demonstrated experience and proficiency in information management technology, and software development as it relates to terminologies.
Experience working with physician and clinical advisors, focus-groups, providing education and training.
Experience with informatics-related federal regulations and health IT standards
Ability to clearly communicate complex clinical workflows, content authoring, and terminology mapping strategies in a easy to understand manner; able to effectively deliver messages verbally and in writing
Healthcare product/industry/technical acumen
Team oriented – ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams
Leadership skills to lead teams and shape/lead growth vision and marketing strategy
Innovation – develop new ideas through collaboration and execute on creative ideas
Strong analytical and process skills – experience with SQL and statistical analysis #DTR |
