Role Summary/Purpose: This individual performs software testing on API Healthcare Solutions using established guidelines, procedures and testing tools to ensure solution readiness. This position will design and execute test plans and test cases to ensure our software solutions have been designed and developed to meet client specifications and requirements. Performs a variety of complicated quality control and quality assurance tasks. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

  • Create and execute manual, automated, performance and regression tests
  • Track issues on through to resolution
  • Troubleshoot complex issues using advanced testing techniques
  • Interface with product and development teams to address bugs, enhancements and features.

Qualifications/Requirements: The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities normally required for competent performance in the job.

Required Education and/or Experience
  • BS in a science discipline or equivalent experience is required
  • Must have 4-7 years professional QA experience

    Quality Specific Goals:
  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

Desired Characteristics:
  • Substantial knowledge of multiple API Healthcare product lines is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering guidelines and procedures and experience with product features and purpose.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL.
  • Experience planning and leading testing efforts for medium complexity software development projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of software testing tools, such as defect and test case management tools, and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with programming languages (such as Java, C#) and/or scripting languages (such as: SQL, Perl, Python or shell scripting)
  • Ability to determine and follow through with creating automated tests using off-the-shelf automation tools
  • Advanced knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the quality engineering.
  • Advanced understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and QA processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple high priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work in rapidly changing situations while driving for results and managing deadlines.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both individually and in a team environment.
  • Highly regarded by Engineering staff.
  • Adept at Agile methodologies and how QA fits in this paradigm
